Comment by Mike 11 months ago Dark Suns - Grave Human Genuine 2008Mike has listened to this a couple of times. Excellent Atmospheric Experimental Prog Metal! Eclectic, Modern, Dark, Guitar, Male-Clean-Vocals, Male-Melodic-Shouting Wow ... this album blew me away. I saw the band two years ago on tour with Pain of Salvation, and it seems like PoS left quite an impression on them ... they had already started to leave their gothic/doom roots at that point, but this here is fully fledged Progressive Metal which *almost* reaches PoS in terms of diversity and creativity.
Be sure to check out the "GHG - Teaser" on their myspace page! Dark Suns - Existence 2005Mike has only listened to this once. Good Experimental Prog Metal! Atmospheric, Modern, Quirky, Symphonic, Technical, Weird, Dark, Guitar I saw the band opening for Pain of Salvation in 2005, and they
played many songs from this album. I like it very much, and I
must say that there are some similarities to Pain of Salvation,
although Dark Suns is generally more firmly rooted in
Gothic/Dark/Alternative Metal, and only on this album
they're now beginning to really move towards more epic and
technically demanding songs. |
