Megadeth - So Far, So Good... So What! 1988Time_Signature has only listened to this once. Excellent Non-Prog Thrash Metal! Aggressive, Male-Melodic-Shouting, Anti-Establishment, Nihilistic, Politics, Social Not the best Megadeth album, but it does contain some noteworthy tunes like "In my Darkest Hour" and the Megadeth version of "Anarchy in the U.K.". Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's ... 1986Time_Signature has listened to this several times. Great Heavy Non-Prog Thrash Metal! Melodic, Guitar, Male-Melodic-Shouting, Anti-Establishment, Nihilistic, Politics, Social, War A thrash metal classic which belongs in any metal collection, "Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?" contains many noteworthy and memorable tracks, such as "Peace Sells" with its legendary bassline intro. Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction 1992Time_Signature has listened to this a couple of times. Magnificent Heavy Non-Prog Metal! Melodic, Guitar, Male-Clean-Vocals, Male-Melodic-Shouting, Death, Identity, Politics, Psychology, Social, War A metal milestone! Megadeth - So Far, So Good... So What! 1988HughesJB4 is very familiar with this album. Excellent Heavy Non-Prog Thrash Metal! Modern, Male-Melodic-Shouting A very good album, with the amazing classic track, In My Darkest Hour. The flow of the album is somewhat spoiled with the inclusion of the Anarch In The UK, which does not really fit in with the dark/cold nature of the rest of the album Megadeth - Rust in Peace 1990HughesJB4 is very familiar with this album. Stellar Heavy Technical Prog-Related AS Thrash Metal! Melodic, Modern, Guitar, Male-Melodic-Shouting perfect Composition, Songwriting and Musicianship, stellar Production Perhaps the peak of thrash metal.
Incredibly well written songs, amazing guitar solos from Marty
Friedman (who simply made Kirk Hammett looking like a beginner)
overall amazing musicianship and despite it's aggressiveness
and some of the most technical metal of it's era, it manages to
balance it with a good dose of melodic playing too.
Megadeth - Rust in Peace 1990Stellar Technical Prog AS Thrash Metal! Melodic, Male-Melodic-Shouting, Anti-Establishment A classic, and one of the best thrash metal albums ever. Belongs up there with "Master of Puppets" and "Reign in Blood". Megadeth - United Abominations 2007PowerWyrm is very familiar with this album. Excellent Heavy Non-Prog Metal! Probably their best album. This one sounds very modern and accessible, with even more "anti-system" songs. MegaDave strikes again... |
