Yes - 90125 1983HughesJB4 has listened to this a couple of times. average Musicianship, awful Songwriting Utterly atrocious pop/rock record. Comment by rushfan4 2 years ago Yes - Magnification 2001 rushfan4 is very familiar with this album. Stellar Symphonic Prog Rock! This is an excellent album; even better than some of their classics. They miss Rick Wakeman, but the use of a whole symphony makes up for his absence. This is one of the few albums that I have heard using a symphony where the symphony sounds like part of the songs. It seems to me that symphonies usually just fill in intros and outros with little added extras throughout the song, but that is definitely not the case with this album. Yes - Close to the Edge 1972Time_Signature has listened to this a couple of times. In many ways the epitome of progressive rock, "CttE" is an epic masterpiece with almost everything in it. Yes - 90125 1983Time_Signature is very familiar with this album. Symphonic, Technical, Pop, Male-Clean-Vocals, Male-Theatralic-Vocals This may be poppy compared to the Yes of the pre-80s, but it's quality pop-rock. And this album contains many songs which, although short and catchy, are still somewhat complex (at least for the pop-rock of the time), the album still containing many progressive elements (while nowhere near the Yes of the pre-80s). I like it a lot, and I don't care if people bash it. Yes - Open Your Eyes 1997 progaeopteryx has listened to this a couple of times. This is Yes' worst album. Even 90125, Big Generator and Union
are more listenable than this. |
